What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: We have been married for 38 (!) years and living in the Pacific Northwest since graduating from BYU--29 years in Portland, Oregon and the last five years across the river in Ridgefield, Washington, after downsizing from the large family home. I have been teaching kindergarten, first, and second grades at the same school for 23 years. We are empty nesters with three of our five children married, having given us seven grandchildren and counting! They live in OR, CA, ID, and UT. We get together as often as possible. Family is what is it all about for us!

What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: I have been working for our business, which gave me the opportunity to help care for my parents. My mother died of cancer in 2006. My father died in November, 2009, from a heart attack. He had been suffering from Alzheimer's for many years. I became very active in the Alzheimer Support Group, and have served on panels as a caregiver.

What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: I have worked in the mental health field as a clinician, supervisor and administrator for 29 years and still enjoy the work. My wife, Denni, and I have been married for 35 years. We have two children, one a musician and the other (now 19) mentally retarded and physically disabled since birth but still in our home with nursing care so we can continue to work. Both of our kids are great kids, but on very different levels. My fondest memories of FVHS are my involvements in music activities.
