Spouse's Name (including Maiden): Scott Vaughn
I am planning to attend the reunion: Yes
What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: The last 51 years have been filled with ups and downs. I got reacquainted with Scott Vaughn at our 20-year reunion. After seven years of dating, we got married. We worked hard and played hard. We have been able to do some great traveling and hopefully do more starting now with some international travel.
Favorite song from HS that brings back a specific memory: It's a Beautiful Morning by The Rascals--when I hear that song, it brings me back to Forest View.
Information about myself that I would like to share: As you all know, I have worked hard on our past reunions, including this one. Part of the reason I did it was because high school meant so much to me. I had so many great experiences and made so many great friends. Going from Carl Sandburg Jr. High to FVHS was a huge, wonderful change in my life. Our 51-year reunion has been a challenge. It hasn't been easy. I want everyone to know that our committee worked so hard to make this a great reunion. Reunions are not everyone's cup of tea. I understand that, and there are those who enthusiastically RSVP'd and recently for health reasons or other reasons are not going to be able to make it. Think about them and drop them a line through our website if you feel like it. They are Jimmy Reel, Bill Martin, Sandy Frediani, Cheri Westdale, and Gerry Panzica. One request: please help the committee keep track of you by always updating your contact information.
About my children and my grandchildren: I have two great sons, Ken and Nick Krol. They are strong, have good jobs, and work too hard. They need to learn how to have more fun. I am very proud of them. My sister and brother-in-law passed away around the early 2000s, and I became guardian to their two children, Abby and John. It has not always been easy, but they have grown into beautiful, responsible adults. I also have a grand-puppy, Memphis. He is an adorable dachshund, and we get to dog-sit when Nick travels.

What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: Since the summer of 1970, I have spent the majority of my life in the restaurant and hospitality business. In 1972, I was drafted and chose to spend my next two years in the U.S. Marine Corps. When I got out in 1974, I moved to Champaign, IL with the intent of going to school. I ended up working for and eventually running the largest chain of rock & roll clubs in Illinois. Seeing the need to get out of the "fast lane", I transitioned to the calmer waters of the restaurant business. In 1985, I moved to Milwaukee to open a pizzeria. I owned and operated my pizzeria for 28 years. I sold the business in 2013 and have been retired since then.

As most of you know, Joanne Werling and I got reacquainted at our 20 year reunion. In 1997 we got married. After a very successful career in the private equity business, she retired at the end of 2017. It took awhile to get readjusted to life once we were both retired, but life is now great for the two of us. In 2018 we built a new home in the quiet resort town of Fontana, Wisconsin, on the opposite end of the lake from Lake Geneva.

We can only hope to keep our health as we are definitely living the dream.
