| What I have learned about life since 1970: I have learned that every day is a gift. God has had a plan for my life every step of the way.Don’t be afraid to try something new – Do it now! | |
| What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: Moving to Arizona was a very good choice in 1993. In 2007 I started taking ballroom dance lessons and found that I easily got addicted to it. Traveling seems to be the highlight of my life. After 18 cruises I feel like I have seen some of my favorite places including Greece and Italy. A longer trip in Paris was memorable as I got to use some of my high school French. | |
| Favorite song from HS that brings back a specific memory: Aquarius by the fifth dimension because it was such a fun song to perform with the Town Criers | |
| Tell about your most memorable high school memory: Being a member of the Vocales and the Town Crier’s was the most fun. Having my best friend Barb Miller in it made it more special. I also loved choir and being in the variety shows. | |
| Information about myself that I would like to share: I started my own business doing errands and caring for clients but retired three years ago. At one of my dance studios I was partnered with a man who became the love of my life. We shared a passion for dance. On April 4, 2019 we had a beautiful wedding. It was a surprise to find so much happiness at this stage of life. We also love to play pickle ball. My husbands name is Chet and he grew up in Thailand. So we have been there on a trip and love to travel together. He treats me like the dancing Queen that I think I am. What more could I want? | |

| What I have learned about life since 1970: That I'm happy with all the choices I've made. I have learned so much from others throughout life. Surround yourself with positive people. I have learned not to worry about the things that do not matter. | |
| What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: I have been working, working, and working. I loved my job, but it required me to be on call 24/7. Any free time was spent with our kids and now our grandkids - supporting their never ending activities, and being involved with their school - PTO and School Board. We also love boating on the Lakes in our area. | |
| Favorite song from HS that brings back a specific memory: GLORIA - trying to sneak out and go to the Cellar in Arlington Heights. | |

| Comment: After 30 years in corporate America, in 2003, Tony and I moved from Memphis, TN to Florida. At that time, there was a shortage of teachers, so I went back to school and received an alternative teaching degree. I am teaching technology and computer applications. Dealing with parents, 12-15 year old children and the fact that schools are run by the government, makes this the hardest work I have ever done. The first 3 years were extremely challenging; however, after 7 years, I think I am finally getting the hang of it. Tony and I love our life, enjoy traveling, rescued our dog Charlie and cat Henry. Summers I volunteer at Animal Control and Seamark Ranch-a home for boys and girls. | |

| What I have learned about life since 1970: Don't take it too seriously! Learn something new every day and don't worry what other people think. They probably don't know half of what you think they know! | |
| What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years: I retired on Friday the 13th in April of 2017 and have been enjoying life with a little part time work tossed in. I sold my first new car (74 Cuda)and bought a 2015 Ecoboost Mustang. Am still involved with the Turning Back Time Car Show in Sycamore, IL though I retired as President/Director after 8 years and the 20th Anniversary show last year. Been playing with that old guitar I used at sock hops, park district dances and other venues in the late 60\\\\\\\'s and put stuff up on my You Tube Channel, Moonshine Muscle. (There\\\\\\\'s a whole story behind that, too.) Looking forward to seeing you all in July! | |
| Favorite song from HS that brings back a specific memory: The Cryan Shames, Could Be We're In Love | |

Name a teacher that had an influence on you and perhaps why:
There were two. Robert Freeman who launched me into a very successful automotive career. And Robert Stelk who brought out the writer in me. Thanks to these two guys I\\\\\\\'ve written and published several tech articles over the years. |

What I have been doing for fun the last 50 years:
I've been making wage as a porsche mechanic for the last 34 years. I also have pursued my art sporadically for the last 30 and have a small piece in the permanent collection of the Denver Art Museum (if any of you recall, I did win the senior award in art at some point during our last year---did they give me that at our graduation?) The most recent developement which I never thought could happen is that I'm now a junior @ Metropolitan State College Denver!---working towards a B.S.in Biology! I spent my most of my H.S. years in the Art Room trying to avoid anything that smacked of math, biology, or chemistry (just going part-time and working @ the garage still). The other big (and sad) news on this side was about the death of my younger sister Jill(class of '72)who died 12/19/09. On the other side now, she is; we'll all get there sooner or later! My son, Orion (31), graduated from the same college I now attend with his B.S. in Biology and is now the successful owner of a Crossfit training center(he started lifting when he was 16) Man, is this kid cut! I have no desire to "retire": I'm living my life exactly as to how I want. It will probably be some combination of the same thing I'm doing now with a little less on mechanic time. They'll never let me out all the way---I know too much! And all of us Chicago kids know what happens when one knows too much...(think found face down in the sticks!)...take care; I love you all. H. |
